God’s peace and mercy be with you. I grew up within the Moravian Church in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. Ever since I was young I wanted to serve Jesus in my life. To help with this goal I attended Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA, graduating with a Master’s degree in 1981. The next month I was ordained a Moravian pastor.
From there I worked in Moravian congregations within North Dakota, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio. In 2003 I became pastor of the Egg Harbor City Moravian congregation. Together we respond to God.
I still strive to faithfully serve our Lord Jesus. I am excited about the ways we can all follow Jesus by working within our community and in our world. Jesus calls to you!
God bless you,

At the Delaware Valley Moravian meeting in September, Brother Andy Kilps mentioned that Palmyra Moravian had a BYOB Sunday.
It was a Bring Your Own Bible to church day. That appealed to me as a good way to recognize the Prayer Day for the Bible Society
on November 20. So I ask all of you to come to church with your Bible on that day. It doesn’t matter what version it is. It doesn’t matter if the Bible is worn or new. What matters most is that you read the Bible. Bring your Bible along to worship on November 20.
Also on November 20 we complete the Spiritual Gifts study of the past weeks by answering a Spiritual Gifts Inventory. This is a tool to
help show you what gifts God makes available to you. It serves as a guide for how the Holy Spirit works through you. God’s Holy Spirit
gives gifts to everyone who believes in Jesus so that they can help a church.
Growth in spiritual maturity involves understanding and using the gifts of God’s Spirit. Spiritual maturity doesn’t mean you learn how to do everything connected to a church. Spiritual maturity means discovering what your particular gifts are and then putting your energy
into serving Jesus with those gifts.
